So bullet numero uno.
-I almost got my first kiss.
Well this is quite the interesting story really. In order to tell this story I have to start some of the other bullet points. Here it goes...
We all jumped in our cars and headed towards the border. I was nervous to say the least but at least at I didn't have to do anything. We get into the border where we get out of our cars while all the work is being done by the adults. I quickly notice a worker. Cute face nice style. What else do I need? Quickly after pulling out her camera I ask Hannah if I could borrow it so I could creepily take some pictures of this very attractive man. I was successful. I got some side shots of him. I'm sure he noticed but I would never see him again right? Wrong. As we were leaving the border he came over to our car to make sure we had the right papers. We found out he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. BONUS! My mom also felt inclined to let him know that I thought he was guapo, handsome. Thanks mom. This was Tuesday that I saw him.
Thursday night as I am walking into the gym of the church I got a surprise I was not expecting. That surprise was border patrol guy. Because I'm a creep I looked at his name tag at the border and found out that his name was Esteban. There he was being handsome and all. We both noticed each other and did a quick double take. Taken aback I ask if he was Esteban and if he worked at the border. He understood be and said he was. I told him that I met him at the border. He replied that he didn't remember. I then told him that my mom called him handsome. Immediately he remember and got embarrassed. I then walked away out of embarrassment and excitement to go find Shelby and let her know that he was there. Shelby did not cross the border with me thus she had not seen him other than the creeper pictures that I took.
I find Shelby and quickly exclaim that he was indeed there and that I had talked to him for a brief moment. Her brother Jake a spanish speaker then told his younger brother to go say to Esteban that "Ella quieres un besa" or something to that effect which meant that "She wanted a kiss." Trying to hold him back and making a scene Tanner in fact went and told Esteban that I wanted a kiss. I ran away again blushing and more embarrassed than I already was. Later outside while playing basketball Tanner came over to me and said that Esteban wanted to talk. Um...Yes please...but again no thank-you. Well after much back and forth communication between Tanner, Esteban and myself Esteban and I talked. More like we sat down and had a real conversation for an hour or so. Shelby joined. No worries.
The next night Tanner had to remind Esteban that I wanted a kiss. Esteban then turns to me and says "You want a kiss" not as a question but more like a statement. Boy oh boy did I get scared and get butterflies and blush and everything in the book, I got it. I quickly assured him that Tanner was crazy and I never said I wanted a kiss.
We never kissed. But I was sure he would have if people kept telling him so.
So as life went on during that week we became really good friends.
This is him.
