Dear Gents

I girl does love it when you open the car door for them.

Note:
A new boy at school opened the car door for me. We met just last week. What a gentleman.

I can't even remember the last time someone opened a car door for me or even a door on their own free will for that matter. Once upon a time gentlemen put down their coats for ladies to walk over to not get their shoes muddy or whatever circumstances may be. Girls do love guys that love being guys and treating women with extra care and respect.

I have been learning a lot about my future and my responsibilities for when I become a mother and wife. I vow to marry a husband that will work hard so I can stay home to be with out kids. I will not settle for less. I will marry someone who wants a family just as bad as I do.

Warning: Cheesy content may follow.
Yesterday I went and babysat for one of my favorite families in my ward. They have a baby named Ali. This was the first time I was able to watch her with the rest of her siblings. She is at that fun stage. Those of you who have been around kids and babies know what I am talking about. While the other kids were off playing I decided to play with Ali one-on-one. I will say that at that moment my joy was full. Nothing could have made me happier. Nothing. I would shake my head then she would copy me and then I would snap by her ear one hand at a time and she was so funny to watch trying to figure out what was going on. It got me thinking of the love I will have for my own child. I love this little baby so much. I can't even comprehend the love I will have for my own. And one step beyond that, the love our Savior has for me and all of us.

And here is another story.
Tonight I went to a corn maze with friends from school. The gentleman listed above and I got to talk one-on-one for a bit. He was telling me about why he switched schools and the person that he used to be. He told me that if I were to meet the person he used to be I would never recognize him. He says he has cleaned up his act a lot. I gained so much respect for him in those few minutes of talking to him. A boy that can acknowledge his faults and fix them is a true man. Cheesy but true.

So take note.
Be a man. It's ok to act like one. Girls do appreciate it.
